Sackville St.
THE BRIEF
Redesign the clients' office to be more functional, useful, grown-up, and aesthetically pleasing.
One client works from home full-time in the space and would like it to be cozy, cohesive, and include more closed and open storage.
They would like to keep their desk and desk chair, and they have recently painted the room in a lovely pale pink.
They describe their design style as ‘Moody Professor’, ‘Eclectic Traditional’, and ‘Fun and Cozy’.

Budget for this refresh (minus paint and electrical) is $2500

MOODBOARD
THE DESIGN

-
Amalgamating the storage all on the side wall will create a much more cohesive and collected feel for the room
-
A cozy rug brings warmth to the space
-
Sculptural lighting adds interest and sophistication.
-
Open shelving provides tons of storage, and they’ll be able to showcase their books, plants, and collected and created artworks
-
Closed storage below allows her to hide away any clutter or less aesthetic craft supplies
-
Peg boards (painted to match the ceiling and open shelves) will provide collected storage for cords, office, and craft supplies, and she can even mount her computer monitor to free up desk space.
-
Several (beautiful) light sources add visual interest to the space, and also allow our client to set the mood.
